They're downvoting you into the dirt but your right bro. The Somali diaspora on this forum is disproportionally British/European and they won't admit they have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to madows. These people got bullied by Jamaicans and West Africans growing up and have unaddressed trauma from that experience, so they created troll accounts and went about spamming the j@réér word and gorilla memes all over twitter and tiktok. They essentially took their local ethnic relations problems with madows and made it global via social media to the point that madows from North America and elsewhere that may have never even interacted with Somalis went from viewing us neutrally to developing a strong dislike of us. This is a phenomenon specific to the Somali diaspora, it's why our online reputation is worse than the Ethiopians and Sudanese. It is what it is. What's done is done. The rest of us just gotta deal with the fallout from here on out, but it's hilarious how these people act oblivious as to why other East Africans aren't treated the same as us online. Maybe it's because Barya isn't a widely known slur but j@réér is, but I'm no Einstein here.
