"Our" community? :drakewtf:
That's like saying the Italian community and the Irish community are the same because they are both white :umwhat:
Sxb the BBC has fucked with his mind. The khaniis can no longer think straight, "our community" kulaha...
:drakekidding:

One way or another, some Somalis just love bootyclappping for ajnabis, why can't they just bootyclap for Somalis only?
:ohdamn:

Are you saying Somalis cannot benefit from Black empowerment in the West? There's absolutely no reason Somalis cannot benefit from the BLACKOUT movement. But no, >muh cultures >muh 6 dirhams >I-i don't wanna be called Basketball American
i am against you culturally appropriating African American slavery narratives and applying it to the Arab -Somali relationship . I am also against calacal culture (victim narrative ) and the grandchildren of Somali camel warriors crying because of a conversation with an Arab at a barbershop . Lastly , I don't consider giving money to an African Caribbean barbershop as economic empowerment .

I know you don't identity as a Black man. What I meant was that the Black community, be it Jamaican, Nigerian, Somal, Ethiopian, etc, we all deal with racism. Black people can bond together because we all experience the disadvantages of white privilege in all aspects, and often times our businesses are undervalued simply because it's a black run business. An example, I once overheard a white man say "I don't wanna go to a restaurant run by Somalians", even thought this was a very clean, we'll run restaurant that had good reviews. All black people are the same.

I don't understand. Somalis experience the same racism that African Americans deal with. I've been followed around a department store simply because of my skin colour, my job application has been rejected because of my non-Western name, I've experienced poor customer service while the white man next to me was treated like royalty, etc etc. All Black people suffer from white supremacy. Doesn't matter if you're a African American descendent of slaves or a Somali man from Hargeisa.

I don't see how what I view myself as is relevant to this conversation, to be honest. The fact is that in the Western viewpoint, we are black people. So I'm entering this argument with that assumption made.

Your entire point here is "we all face racism, so we are all the same". "We are all the same" is LITERALLY almost verbatim what you said.
You're essentially throwing everything that makes a community a cohesive community out in favour of the idea that "The scary white man treats us all the same, so we iz the same".

Your point about different communities bonding and relating to each other because of shared struggles is a valid one, but it does not in any way somehow make us the same community or suddenly make us understand every little thing about each other. You put way too much stock into racism and in all honesty from your descriptions of certain groups I feel like you may have been traumatised or deeply affected by a racist incident in the past. Which is a shame, honestly. But racism is not the be-all end-all of what makes a community identify with another community. It's much more nuanced than that.

Hol' up nigga, hooool' the fk up b. You telling me, *pulls pants up* that the a few dirty off-brand shekels can compare to the significantly larger market AAs can offer us? All because "I'm culturally appropriating African American slavery narratives". Where b. Where? You're the one being emotional. Every society 'appropriates'. I suggest we appropriate their monies, wimmins and political platform.

Pull your macawis up and get back to your dusty village herding camels and preserve your culture:camby:

There's not a single Somali barbershop in my city unfortunately.

I always do my best to go to Somali businesses and barbers sxb. I rather go to a Somali barber who would treat me with kindness and care and I don't care how far it is. A Somali barber will welcome you as a brother and help you bag all the bad xalimos with your new fade.

Nonsense ! Indians gain better grades at school and are willing to start from scratch , therefore giving them more opportunities to start businesses and earn more money. In the UK ,most Somali business are catered towards their tribes; blacks cater to their specific communities .why is curry more popular than Caribbean food ? Don't tell me it is because of racism ! You see , the black victim narrative blames everything on racism and fails to acknowledge the. Merits of hard work , good marketing and resilience . Do you think the Asians shop keepers never faced racism ?

It's not victim mentality. It's just facts - racism exists. But I don't view whites higher than me, think they are any better, or better looking like African Americans do. Besides, these are people who use tissue to wipe their ass after they xaar :ftw9nwa:
