Why does this always happen to me?

I lost my I.D for uni, so I had to wait in the student lounge to renew it, the line was big.

I sat down and this white guy comes to me starts a conversation, and proceeds to shake my hand and introduces himself I just go with the flow, he tells me what he's studying etc and I tell him what I am doing blah blah yeah, I look around and I'm getting looked at by some Somali girls and middle eastern hijabis, I felt so embarrassed, this John dude getting way to close to me I don't want to make it awkward. Deep down i'm praying Allah to make the proccess go fast because this guy making me look like a bad girl.
