Pretty sure ill get 100% somali. @trf we shall settle the scores seeing as you called me mix race and im still lowkey a bit hurt which is part of the reason i bought it to show that a lot of reer xamars get a high % of somali

Quick backstory im hawiye dad’s side reer xamar (gibil madow) mums side. What do yall think I’ll get? Particularly interested in trfs predictions

Gibil madow are the native Somalis of xamar, don’t think they have any foreign admixture, I think even some pre-1930 majeerteen are in that grouping since there was a MJ presence there from 1820-1890s and marka was seized by a group of Reer Bari MJ at one point.

Is it safe to assume mjs have lived in their current homeland for quite a while or were we also from Waqooyi/Djibouti originally?, it coud give credence to the story of our mother being ciise.

It’s inaccurate, I got 32% Ethiopian and Eritrean even though I’m a pure Somali who’s paternal and maternal side is quite famous in the north east. If you really want a good and clear picture of ancestry just get 23andme, you’ll have to save up a bit but it’ll be worth it.

What other % did you get? Idk where the egyptian came from 3.3% is too much to be noise and idk where east african came from am I Bantu this is a whole mess

You’ll have to get your cords so head to illustrative dna when you can and buy a deep ancestry packet I think it’s around 30 euros if I’m not mistaken, youll get your cords plus a somewhat more accurate dna makeup, then once you get your cords go to vahaduo g25 calc put your cords in and and feel free to ask for help if you get stuck on how to use it.

There are many people on the dna section on the forum who are much better placed to advise and guide you step by step. I was a noob at this myself until recently.
