My heritage

I’m talking about the main Hawiye tribes like HJ, Mursade and Abgaal. I doubt they all came at the same time. I think some came and then others came ect.

@Step a side also said that Hirab came later to the South.
You are right they came in different waves and took different routes. The earliest were already in the south by the 1100s according to Islamic cartographers.

Original homeland of Hawiye is in East Hararghe

Gareen (Ajuuraan) is buried up north where the Bicidyahan, Leelkase etc live at a place called Ximan Gareen so Jambeele must have taken the northern route (via puntland) just like Gurgaarte, Murusade and Xaskul. Xaskul live on the Mudug coast today as well as Hirshabelle and of course Bale, Baabili etc.

Gugundhabe must have taken the Shabelle river route which btw was the preferred route that linked the northern (Hararghe, Bale) with the southern Hawiye and which was still in use for centuries as a trade route right up until colonial times.

Raarane Hawiye also took the shabelle river route and historians like IMLewis even go as far as saying clans like Raarane Hawiye have been in the dooy before the Raxanwayn arrived and were overwelmed or assimilated.

I don’t believe that Hawiye, Darood, Isaaq or Dir are real. Only sub-clans are real- so they might as well continue calling themselves Hawiye.
Science already proofed Dir and Darood to be real. Hawiye don’t have enough samples but ones tested are all under 1 haplogroup and are the closest to each other paternally.

So why were they walking around calling themselves Hawiye for years? It’s only been in the last few yrs that they’ve been honest about not being Hawiye. Somalis are a confusing bunch
They are Hawiye maternally just like Saransoor. Xawaadle have Mudulood mother. Saransoor have Gugundhabe mother which is why Gaaljecel is always grouped with Gugundhabe.

Those two tribes have the most insecure somalis. No wonder DNA websites took their blood to the bank. Daaroods are like Hawiye, each one one of them who took the test ended up getting ev32.

The reference sample of Somali blood is that of Hawiye saxib. If you are genuine somali by blood, you are a match to Hawiye. Haddii kale, laangaab.

We are on about deep paternal testing saxib. Your on about overall ancestry. There is a difference between the two.

Isn't that like finding who is your third grandfather? lol. According to the DNA results, somalis are all cousins separated by degrees and all belong to the same Ancestor no matter what tribe a somali registers. Good enough separation yet similar ancestry. They kept their lineage purely as one ethnicity throughout the ages. One of the most homogenous ethnicities today in the world.

The world moved on already from this obsession. Somalia is backward because of this obsession.

What makes them insecure sounds like you have a bias ?

I don't have a bias, they are my blood relatives among Somalis. And I know how they think. They claim they are reer bani hashim. They are insecure when it comes to their lineage and aren't satisfied with being an ancient somali whose roots share a lineage with Egyptians. THE OLDEST EAST Africans, local, native and proud. If they aren't Arab, they ain't happy. Xoolo.com

You are wrong lol You keep talking about ancestry while we are on about paternal lineages. My abtirsi is different to yours hence why I have a different paternal lineage.

Yes, even siblings have differences in genetics. No issue there. Carry on and update us who you find is related to who in the sub-clan divisions lol.

No way lol. Hiiraab is max 800 years old as a tribe while Ajuuraan were already firmly established in south by the 1300s. Yacquub would be born couple of centuries later. Vast majority of Hiiraab would have still been up north. Even Silcis Gurgaarate and Wadalaan Gurgaarte arrived before Yaquub in the south.

I discussed the migration patterns in detail here.
@Step a side and @Chaseyourdreamzz ,when did bimaal move down to merka?

I heard they moved down in the 16th-17th century from waqooyi it makes sense because a subclan of biimaal called gadsan primarily lives in galbeed so they must’ve took that route waqooyi-galbeed-south
Is it safe to assume mjs have lived in their current homeland for quite a while or were we also from Waqooyi/Djibouti originally?, it coud give credence to the story of our mother being ciise.
