Wacbudan cabdulle galmax. Idk shi about history and if that subclan has done something my family aint involved in it we were nomads and my great grandma is till this day

You can model your ancestry and compare yourself to other ethnic Somali averages. If you have real Non Somali g25 is good at picking it out

Pretty sure ill get 100% somali. @trf we shall settle the scores seeing as you called me mix race and im still lowkey a bit hurt which is part of the reason i bought it to show that a lot of reer xamars get a high % of somali

myheritage is really not too good for somalis. Full ethnic somalis will even score like 70-80% somali with that test

Gibil madow are ethnic Somalis that lived in Xamar from the beginning. They are city dwelling Somalis rather than pastoralists. You are fully ethnic Somali it seems so you’ll probably get 90% Somali. 10% I think will be Arabian and Persian since the Gibil madow community intermarried with Gibil cad Reer Xamaris more so than any other Ethnic Somalis group due to proximity and shared culture of living in Shingani and Xamar weyne.

Walaal respectfully i aint paying anything over 50 for a dna test thats just a waste of money. My heritage was on sale for 33 pounds so i had to get it. I can always buy it on black friday if i want

Why would you need that when you can just talk to your elders they can track your lineage in the stone ages lol that’s what tribe is for some know each other and where we came from not to discriminate with it but keep track of your family etc. You’re being scammed as your money back.

Not really. The issue is that Somalis don’t record the female line. For example, I can’t go back more than my great great grandmother, but I know up my 15th grandfather with my elders knowing even beyond.

Her mother is Gibil madow who are ethnic Somali but they’re ethnic Somalis
Who’ve lived in very close proximity to Gibil cad so she will have some sort of Persian, Indian or Arab ancestor in the mix.

For people like us who are descendants of Pastoral Somalis- it is probably a major waste of time.

But Moorshe are not the oldest in Xamar tho.

I believe Jacub and Bafadal (Hiraab/Darandole) are much older.
