Whilst I disagree with their religious choice, it is good to see a roomful of Somali women without a Sikh headwrap. It is also good to see them worship in their own language instead of a language which they cannot understand, which is the position of most Muslims. It's not even an Islamic requirement. Imam Abu Hanifa said that you can pray Salaat in your own language even if you speak Arabic. Allah sent a messenger to every people who spoke every language in the world. There's nothing holy or sacred about Arabic. Previous revelations were in Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, etc depending on who the people were. Arab culture has to be effaced from Somalia.
