My cringe racist moment

We all knew a fat black kid that was the shits back in middle school and highschool.

When I was in grade 6, I knew one. His name was Dantae. Pretty fat, played some ball, and was in some illegal activities but he was a chill guy all around.

Fast forward 2 years and I move to scarborough and go to a new middle school. Now I know another fat black kid, very similar to the other one, except he was darker (not that it matters). His name is Elijah and I was acquainted with him as well.

Fast forward again to grade 10. I see elijah on the bus, we talk for a bit and catch up. My stop arrives, I dap him up tell him I’m getting off and before I leave with a straight face I go “bye Dantae”.

That very same night, I remembered. His name wasn’t Dantae

And then I cringe so hard. I wonder what he was thinking, I called him such standard/generic black name. With a straight face.

To this day I laugh everytime I remember that. I guess it’s also a good thing too because I was wearing one of the drippiest fits that day too no way I can forget that. But still, it’s kinda comical.
