We were young Faradheer's back home. Minds on clouds, we were talking about we're gonna make it, and change our country's fate for the next hundred years!

Sadly, we've lost in touch for a little decade. Only, between two times we've seen each other back; in 2014 and 2015!
Still, young, wild, and free. Today, that i'm rejoicing the last year of Uni, and probably going back home (for pro reasons).
But somehow, I've got beaten by quaky news; my best friend, of Sudanese-Somali origins, got married and his wife has a child of him.

:damnmusic:My first reaction was to take off my invisible headphone and listen carefully. Before even understanding what my mother just said,
I picture him as a father. Can't imagine my brother is already a dad! At only 23 years old!:childplease:

Niggas are really horny at this point:childplease::childplease::childplease::childplease::childplease:

My mother asked me if I'm going to have children.
If only she knew that I'm planning on being child-free.

Kids deserve a loving parent, I haven't even finished my school's:childplease::childplease::childplease::damedamn::damedamn:

Smoking on the top floor of a building is a feeling to have :ahh:

Haven't forgotten that night when I invited my friends (for a birthday party of a girl), and her brother and I, we were inhaling the white sand :stevej:
They thought that we were shady for going to the bathroom (but I swear, nothing happened!)
:ohno:

i do it anyway i like
I will marry at 26/7 old inshallah, only Allah who am gonna marry Somali or non-Somali but am pretty sure am gonna marry a Muslim woman.

I would only get married to a woman who makes much more money than me. I can't risk losing half my wealth in a divorce here in Canada. No way I'm working past 65.

somalis dont understand grace period when it comes to marriage. or family planning at that matter. adopted from their parents mentality.

by all means do all the darbisaaring and sariir jabis when ur tie the knot, but popping one out asap why u in a rush? especially if u marry fresh out of school. u need some life experience first, like what are u even gonna teach ur kids when ur basically a kid urself with no life experience?

now ur pushing a stroller to daycare then u hop on the bus to college

youd be suprised at wedding costs. the worst thing is, no offense to my soomaliyeen, but compared to other ethnicities our weddings look cheap and dont scream lavish or sophisticated. which is ironic cause some somalis spend an absurd amount just for it to look like any old faarax and xalimos wedding at the communtiy hall.

one girl was doing a Q&A on her wedding on somalibridal snapchat and she said her man spent 40k on the wedding i burst out laughing. for her sake hope she was lying cause wallah ive been to weddings that looked exactly lik hers, typical somali wedding, that ws done for much less.

the best way to do it is: mehr, small nikkah, if you INSIST a small wedding cause why pay for a glorified party for a bunch of bored somali women, then invest it all into your new life together, and travel with ur new mahram

whoever marries me is lucky cause wallah im not with that whole princess wedding once in a life stuff.
