What?! What weird ass families do you people belong to? All of my close aunts and my mom have never covered their hair in front of me. I'm mahram, niyahow. I can't bloody marry them, that would be xaram. Why bother covering? It's the same at other households I know. No nigga's own hooyo covers her hair in front of him, pre-pubescent boys and like nephews born to her sister. Your cid don't even seem to know what religion they're practicing.
Believe me dude nobody does lmaooo I never saw my own mother hair either until she showed me a picture of herself back when she was younger in the 90s. Sadly some people do that (that’s how you know that almost nobody practices the religion the right way).

What about when your mum is relaxing and there's hardly anyone in the house?! Does she do that because she finds gabasar more comfortable or for religious reasons?

I've visited fob families like that. But they would at least take it off when we were chilling in the bedroom, so i've seen their hair at least.

It mostly has to do because of religious reasons but she’s mental anyways so that has to do with it maybe

No she’s just crazy because she never takes it off. I only have ever seen it on one picture, I’ve never seen her walk around or show off her hair

Pardon me, abaayo, but it seems a tad dhaqan xumo to be calling your hooyo mental on a random forum.

Y'all are the crazy ones. It is used casually in UK lingo to describe illogical behaviour. I know she is Dutch too.

Well, lemme just say that that's mental.

Wahabism didn't reach somalia pre civil war but it was bound to happen whenever we went through war or not. Somalia is extremely close to the gulf. Many Somali business men who migrated to Saudi Arabia began to import Islamic culture back to somalia. Reer Somaliland were the first to be assimilated and began wearing burqas prior to the civil war. It would've been a different phenomenal if somalia was far way from the gulf.

Wahabism didn't penetrate well enough in those Muslim countries far away from the gulf such as Algeria, Tunisia Morocco, Niger-congo Muslims and Asian Muslims.
The truth is Somalis became more exposed to Orthodox Islam after colonisation. Before that, most of us practiced folk Islam. After independence, Somalia received scholarships from the Middle East; Egypt, Saudi Arabia etc. The result was a generation of Somalis educated in the Deen better than their peers back home as we did not possess institutions that excelled in the Deen. No real culture of Islamic academia.

In actual honestly, we are more Islamic today in terms of knowledge than we have ever been Historically. Liberals, cough cough you cough, who have an issue with Orthodox Islam are just glorifying s Jahiliya ignorant past. I say this as an imperfect Muslim who balances his own faith but knocking something that is more authentic than what we had in the past ain't keeping it real.

Your Khaleejinimo betrayed you Xabibi but @Angelina has no excuse. I was cracking up when I read her post Wallahi. Kulaha is your Hooyo unwell!!!!!!! :dead:
Saxib, I call people mental all the time but NOT my hooyo. God forbid. The only time you can call your mum 'mental' is if she really is mentally unstable loool.

I know, but look at the context and the intention behind it. As a Brit, you gotta own this L. :snoop:

I grabbed popcorn hoping a Catfight would start.:pachah1:

The lower and middle Jubba used to be swarming with lions, rhinos, giraffe and cheetah. They can still be found but nowhere near the same amount pre civil war. Jubbaland specifically the two gobols I just mentioned have the same terrain as Kenya so we could have had the same safari tourism they had. Sad really
Not anymore Ahmed Madobe have shipped away all trees to UAE and Iran!
