Muwallads in Yemen are any Yemenis with mixed foreign ancestry. There are Russian/Eastern European Muwallads, HOA Muwallads and less commonly SEA Muwallads (Indonesians/Malaysians).

Basically they are the descendants of Yemeni traders that went abroad and came back with their mixed children.

I do not believe so. I have seen a few Yemenis in puntland and somaliland. These guys had their Yemeni wives and kids with them. If it did happen it is extremely rare

True. Somalis may have racism issues but it's nothing compared to Arabs . That's why muwallads feel more comfortable among somalis. Extreme racism and bullying is considered Ceeb even by the most backward intolerant Somalis while it's normal among Arabs . It's a cultural difference. We treat our minorities like shit but compared to Yemen we are saints. Yemenis in Somalia have it really good compared to what our people have suffered in Yemen .
