I doubt even most Amharas would want to lose addis and North Shewa aswell as splitting their homebase in 2. Also Hararghe and Bale would be majority Somali and heavily contested.

Those regions were removed because they were ungovernable. Liyu and ethnic regions wouldnt be here if they weren’t necessary for the power structure in addis. They will probably devolve the regions into their already standing zones and then rename them away from concrete ethnic names. Similiar to Kenyas counties.

Aden Farax who works as Leader of Senate is one of the signitories that signed of large chunks of Sitti to Afar.

Shide was Ileys lap fog and now he has been promoted to Minister of finance.

So actually there is no regime change Abye just maintained the status quo by only removing iley and few men.But still the same people that worked for TPLF are running the show.

I dont think this war is over but I do beleive in less than a year Abye would be gone after a deal just like Mengistu.

Its not that easy because Tigrayans were the first christians civilisation in the horn of Africa.The west will not tolerate this and are siding with Tigrayans and giving them support even though TDF are diehards.

Expect alot of amhara refugees after a year flocking to Nairobi or Kampala like in the late 80s.TDF will eventually capture Addis Ababa.
