Simple, cheap Islamic architecture, symmetry, and white/cream colour pictures. We can easily do the same instead of the ugly things we currently build.

Many towns from 1991 onward had the opportunity to turn into smaller version of Muscat if they implemented zoning laws. Instead we are dealing with this:

Some building regulations such as only allowing certain colours and restricting the height of buildings along with restoration of old buildings would do us so much good.

There's no need to reinvent the wheel. Mogadishu and other coastal cities had similar architecture to that used in Muscat. We just need to do what they're doing.
Why copy other architecture styles when we can develop our own signature architecture

That's actually ugly.
Ugly is subjective, thats what a modern city looks like. Rather that than some antiquated style that uses up space unnecessarily.

What value does looking like muscat have besides "muh history and tradition"?
