Have you ever been to Galkacyo or bandeeradley. Did you like it?

My whole fam went to somalia last year (without me ) and they did a tour everywhere but my siblings liked Galkacyo the most outside Xamar (They also went to Beledweyne and Cadaado ontop of the places I’m going) Apparently the shop under where they stayed in Galkacyo used to sell Coco pops and rice krispies so they were happy af (it was expensive tho compared to what you’d buy it for here). Back then I used to think anywhere outside Xamar in somalia was baadiyo itself, but now I’m more quite interested to visit other cities


I’m scared of Baadiyo, I want to avoid it. My family were literally milking camels and eating a real nomad diet for a 2 weeks. My biggest fear, do you think if I tell hooyo I’m vegan, I’ll be spared?

My cousin was the same Balayada with the somalidiid body. I really wanted to go to my uncles farm in Afgooye and the only day we could have gone, she had faleebo in the Turkish hospital. We lost about 4 out of the 13 we were there for due to her being in hospital and or too sick to leave my uncles house that we were staying in.

I think it’s a mango farm? I’m not 100% sure but yeah he owns a farm there, he just owns it tho and lives mostly in Xamar so he doesn’t actually farm. I heard Afgooye is apparently beautiful but I’ve never been there sadly due to my cousin being sick Maybe I’ll visit in the summer

Xamar is much older as a city, has the beach, and older architecture. Rich people built up nice homes in the same areas, so the buildings and roads are nice, and there is no room for ugly homes to be built in nice areas.

Hargeisa has beautiful homes and neighborhoods too, but the problem is that seasonals tend to build ugly homes in nice neighbourhoods. Also, Hargeisa's land area is smaller than Xamar, but the population is huge (over a million now), so parts look like New Delhi. People are buying and building further and further outside Hargeisa to get away from the city - those areas have ballin houses

In any case, you should visit both if you're able inshaAllah
