This was not clan based fighting at all. It was just a misunderstanding between regular SNA soilders who happened to be Abgaal who were escorting their MP Yusuf kabaale to the airport who was involved in recent offensives. Most soilders especially the NISA ones near and in the airport are mainly HG so it was just a clash because they didn’t know why they have direct orders to not let armed soilders or anyone go in the airport

the clash would have happened between HG NISA and HG SNA. It had nothing to do with qabil and people are barely treating it as such.

Somali army began with the clan militias joining. Nothing much has changed in terms of the neighbourhoods each clan (and therefore security) dominate. Fahad Yasin didn’t change shit on the ground lol.

This would’ve been a shootout between mostly HG NISA and SNA. And it’s due to HSM’s edict that NISA must lockdown the airport and not let anyone come through that feels like it. MP probably ignored the order
