Moving to somalia

I go to hargeisa every year for 2-3 month. In that time i also visit boorama berbera burco iyo muqdisho. I really love the ppl, culture and the food:)
Hargeisa is best known for its nightlife 24/7 way shidan tahay no qarax problem.hooyga fanka:it0tdo8:Muqdisho got good cheap food specialy the fruits.
Boorama got the ppl, very inteligent ppl, home of the AMOUD university. They are not like other racist somaliz. Very welcoming ppl. Waa DAD GOB ah maasha allaah and its lifestyle is cheaper then hargeisa.
And im moving to hargeisa this summer insha allah to make my own business. And making for myself some life experience

i will give you this advice. If you are going to muqdisho for 1year, atleast make same business. What ever skill you have or sell something(small things like beauty care) so that your adventure is productive and not boring after 1 month.
A friend of mine is make-up artist in hargeisa. She teached 4 girls, they work for her now, they do the the day-to-day work and she does the VIP work like wedding(every Weekend). Plus she sells cosmetics in her salon, she makes good money.
Wink wink

I would like to move to Somalia for a year next year God willing, I'm really tired of living in the west. I'm burned out, I need to relax and enjoy some time learning the language and culture. I want to go to the rural cities and herd camels and sheep.
Swim in lido beach,
Drink camel milk, and sleep outside and stare at the stars.

Who has done a long trip back home?

How was it?

What did you enjoy the most?

Would you visit Somalia again?

Being 73 years old @Basra has some wisdom in her yet. Take some medication cause you are out of your mind if you want to move there.

I advice you not to go Somalia in the next decade. A civil war is gonna erupt. Unfit rulers are ruling the semi-autonomous regions Somaliland, Puntland, Jubbaland. There is a rising civil unrest. I really dont want you in the crosshairs of an angry mob. There is no justice, no peace and no muslims in the wretched country. People are safe for now, because they are tolerating the situation. The reason is that no wants to re-experience a civil war. I hope you rethink in living in a land, with no Freedom of speech.

You can live relatively very safe, if you are born with the oppressors. If your family tribe is the same tribe as Deni, Musa bixi etc. You will face no troubles in your endeavours. Just dont criticize them. They wont show mercy, even if you are family.

I am just waiting for the weapons embargo to be lifted. :lolbron::lolbron:
I am gonna invest on the winner, "Who is NO ONE":banderas:

House prices will be relatively cheap, after the Second Somali civil war. I am gonna buy, buy, buy and buy. Wait 20 years, and sell it .:hemad:

I am so happy for Somalia and its endless corruption. They are nominal muslims:ehh: So I really dont care about them.
In truth, most who are killed are the innocent. Inshallah They will go Jannah.:jcoleno:

Went to gaalkacyo and Bosaaso for around 9mths back in 2008

At that time I'd say I hated it but it did improve my Somali and gave me a lot more love for the country

School was pretty fun and visiting family all over the country was fun especially in regards to elders (had a grandfather who is in his 90s)
Would you visit Somalia again?
Family owns a few plot of lands and I hope to buy my own at some point and build it up in a sustainable manner main reason I choose to go down the path of Renewable Energy in Uni really want to contribute to the motherland in that way especially in regards to sustainable building consultancy
