That deal won’t go through, pretty sure the Ethiopian themselves have confirmed this. Even if they haven’t the political implications after the effect would be disastrous, not only for their “political image” but also for their economy. Sanctions would be placed on the Ethiopian regime, which would eventually cause a recession worse than that of Zimbabwe. Not to mention the pandora box effect it’ll cause. What would stop Somalia from recognising the Tigray region as an independent nation. I truly believe this deal was a political ploy by Abyie, to unite has nation and solidarity his rule. Unfortunately for him that gamble was short sighted and down right idiotic.
