When guidance is offered based on what is observable and openly displayed, as that is what society permits judgment upon, individuals are often reminded of this norm. Interestingly, it holds true regardless of whether the adviser happens to be a transgressor or even a murderer; their counsel is still heeded.

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The most hated speech to Allah is when a man says to another man, ‘Fear Allah!’ And he replies, ‘Worry about your own self!”
(al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, no. 2598)

You know many take this way out of context and go around giving unsolicited rulings and advice.

Yes if you see an injustice and can intervene in a positive way, then by all means. But don't go up to the clean shaven brother at the masjid and tell him to grow a beard.

Your just using random example doubt anyone even does that but I agree.

If you saw brother or sister coming short or doing a sin in public then tell them to Fear Allah and give the advise due that is your only job and you must do it in sincere and positive way.

And lastly back to your example if your capable of growing full beard which connects then you must leave it like LeBron James gif, if your doing it on purpose then that is you coming in short.

Well if you are a ruler on fiqh and Shariah and have a thorough understanding of the science. Also if you have done the internal work of striving against your own base desires and low qualities (Jihad An Nafse) then by all means give comforting advice with good manners.


Otherwise risk becoming a hypocrite or puritanical tyrant. It is up to you.

Cease attempting to impose additional conditions on the Hadith, as neither the text nor its Tafsir includes the specifications you've mentioned. If that were the case, a significant majority of Muslims would refrain from offering advice, as they wouldn't meet these stipulated requirements.
