According to the 2017-2018 Human development Statistics these are the top 10 developed regions in Somalia .

1. Banadir
2. Woqooyi Galbeed
3. Sanaag
4. Bari
5. Awdal
6. Nugal
7. Mudug
8. Sool
9. Gedo
10. Lower Shabelle

Im surprised to learn that despite banadir being the smallest region is actually most developed in infrastructure, and economically out of all of the region in the country.

Some areas have more international cash flow than others and were cities way before the civil war.
This is not a measurement of success

You know this fake is as fake as Trump's hair when Gedo is listed on it, the most undeveloped and backward region in Somalia.:ohlord:

@Nafiso Qalanjo if infrastructure existed prices for property wouldn't be so high, property prices are good indicator of infrastructure availability, Mogadishu is no infrastructure heaven when your paying 100k for what is essentially a 20k property.

What's even worse is it's only a 90 SQ KM land space, all it needs is 90 KM of roads and it can barely do that.

Human development u gotta be kidding, it's scores the worst in all schooling in the nation.

The only reason Mogadishu is lucrative is there is large concentration of people within 90 SQ KM radius, that's it and it's only lucrative for comms-money transfer-water-electricity companies as their expense of investment is lower while consumption is higher. It's the urban effect. But the land getting tighter n roads non-existant is shooting up prices of homes to the point it's unaffordable to live there leading to an 'exodus' anyways which is the only indicator I see of mogadishu future. A city cannot survive without infrastructure, it's like saying a village can survive without a nearby river source. The river source is the infrastructure for the village, if it's gone the village is gone.

If the roads-electricity-water-comms are gone it's over for mogadishu and they only stick around if their is a people to begin with kkkk and people won't stick around if they can't afford to live there and hence your industries start to collapse due to the mogadishu flight that is emerging

@Quruxley the urban market is only 40% of the GDP anyways, the wealth isn't there. Those big camps are ex-farmers who left their farms due to insecurity. That 40% is linked to the IDPS in the city growth who are using phones-water-transfers-internet but not 'electricity' since they don't have a house.

Once those IDPS go back the real urban share of GDP will be down to 20% again becaue the urban share grew due IDP camps but it caused a loss for agriculture sector also, a huge drop to 20% so their missing 20% of their people in their villages South-west-JL-HS being the primary areas and ironically strong shabab strong holds.

Once that population goes home that urban share of the GDP is back down to 20% of the nation and agriculture share back to 40% and nomads are already 40%. 20% means 1.4 billion dollars and that's nation wide mind u. 1.4 billion is circulating in hawala-comms-water-electricity only, it's a very small 'game' and if your not in that right area of the 'game' your only left with 'shops/hotels' who are not lucrative at all their share of market.

Imagine that 20% of the population that's 3 million with only 1.4 billion dollar consumption a whole 'year', sis u know what that means? each month your looking at 116 million nation wide. and that's split by golis/dahabshil/blue sky/hormuud/food/shop fronts

Mogadishu being 1.5 million takes 50% of that share of consumption. That's why ppl r in mogadishu to squeeze themselves into a game of $50 million a month and the smart ones are placing themselves in water-electricity-telecoms-money transfer as they will take the majority while the players do the rest in the market like food/veggies/restaurants/hotels all fighting for 'left over change' of that 50 million a month. So noone really is 'rich' there it's impossible with those GDP indicators, that's probably why they prefer 'investing' in real markets outside Somalia, stronger spending power exist there

@Quruxley The only thing that gives PL an edge is at the 'import' game since it controls and taxes HS/GM/EASTERN SL/PL/WARDER/MAKHIR/KHATUMO traders who are servicing literally a market span of 9 million people. If it wasn't for that lifeline we wud be in trouble like most of Somalia regions, as it's impossible to survive in a 50 million a month industry by being a player if u don't lock down the 'game' at the 'import' stage and secure it for yourself so u don't need to worry about playing at the market level and if u do, making sure u play at the right area of market share.

But PL has made it clear it's the 'livestock' exports that keep us afloat 40% of national GDP which is the 9 million market coverage we have, as the internal market nation wide is $50 million a month but we got our hands in there obviously. Since those areas are locked down to us in PL by ourselves and JL, and we got hands in mogadishu in electricity-money transfer market shares. The only one out of our hands is water sector of hamar. Water sector of PL is in our hands and JL. Only Hormuud south-central market is out of our hands and Water game in the south. But money transfer-electricity we r playing in and got a large market share in hamar n nation wide.

Quruxey kkkkk when investors make investment decision everyone looks at gdp by sector n market share and work out your monthly/quarterly/yearly activity by dollar by sector then by industry and they look at consumption and 'govt' policy like taxs/rules/etc, But the biggest overlooked is they look at 'consumption' and 'suppliers' and if it's heading towards a bubble effect over supply and less demand or more demand n less supply. They prefer more demand n less supply type of industry and that isnt there in somalia, no joke the 'demand' is low across all the board due to no middle class and just top few rich which isn't a market kkkk

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

LMAO. Seeing Gedo and Sool in the top 10 outright disqualifies this report. Farmaajo wrote this report to deceive the Marehan masses by adding Gedo into the top 10.
