Morocco protests

Moroccan youth are protesting endemic healthcare and economic issues, and the government responds by shooting them and running them over.

The chances of survival are even lower, since the reason for the protests is poor state of the Hospitals, where patients lay on the ground for days.

Vast majority of Moroccans are Sufi, this goes for the Maghreb as a whole. Lets see their track record on this...

Tunisia: Tyrant overthrown (2011)
Algeria: Tyrant overthrown (1963)
Libya: Tyrant overthrown (2011)
1. Returned what is basically old regime.
2. Return to equivalent of old gov since the entire country has PTSD.
3. Really? Haftar is an improvement? Gaddafi is 100% overrated but Haftar is garbage.

I am not here to say these countries have rebels that organize faster then counter-rebels/rebel traitors. But to say these countries have rebels.

Does Saudi have active anti-Monarchist movements? A lively debate withen it's borders on the role and future of Sharia? Does it have separatists? No, no, and no.

Not madkhalism.

In all of these cases, they all just returned to the old regime in the end, and have largely accepted it.

The only reason any of the regimes were overthrown was because the leaders made it completely unbearable. New leaders(basically the same as the old) have learned to try and make life just barely tolerable. Since Morocco didn't learn this lesson in 2011, they are learning it now. Honestly the only Arab leaders that have kept their rule are the Monarchs, because they are wealthy(Gulf) or make concession(Jordan). Morocco doesn't have wealth(since their poor economic and medical outlooks are the cause of the protests, so the King has to go down the Jordan route, of making life from hell to just barely tolerable.

How can the Khaleejis overthrow their Kings, Khaleejis make up 11.48% of the UAE, 11% in Qatar*, and 61.7%* in Saudi. Quite literally the Kings of these countries will never be overthrown because if pressed they can just jingle the 'I will give SubCons citizenship' card. And indeed the average Khaleeji genuinely believes that the Monarchy protects them from the sla- I mean 'migrant worker' population, and will thus never revolt.

Onto Jordan, now Jordan actually does have a history of revolt, the House of Hashim almost got overthrown by the PLO/Black September/Fatah and were saved by Israel, the country also has insane demographics as well- only 39% of the population is Jordanian- so they can (to a lesser extent) play the 'I will give Gazans and Syrians citizenship' card to spook the more reactionary elements into accepting concessions (which they only do anyways because a revolt in Jordan, no matter how small, would severely endanger the borders with Palestine, Israel, and Syria)

Time for some CLASS ANALYSIS!! (fun!)
The Khaleej does not a mostly-Khaleeji proletariat, and infact a inflated number of Khaleejis (in comparison to the total number of Khaleeji ppl) have maids, sla- 'migrant workers', and wage-laborers at their disposal compared to other countries. Thus the Arab Khaleej has a petty bourgeois class character and as such the main avenue of class conflict is Native vs Immigrant, this does not even mention the insane amount of oil money that is used to bribe the Khaleeji proletariat that does exist into being loyal subjects.

In Jordan most labor is done by wage-laborers, (not slaves). So thus class solidarity builds between Jordanians and 'outsider' groups like Palestinians, Syrians, and Circassians. Infact due to being there long enough the majority of non-native Jordanians are regarded as Jordanian by everybody, so much so that they actually agitated pretty hard in the 20th to get Palestinians to become citizens (Now all groups but recent arrivals are naturalized) so class struggle in Jordan is a bonafide thing and not racialized. Which is why the King has to accept such concessions as democracy, workers rights, healthcare, and other stuff. Also no oil to bribe the workers with!

In Morocco 99% of all people are citizens, the country has a 'natural' economy compared to the Arab Khaleej, in Morocco there is a bonafide class struggle against the Capitalist class and for decades they (the Moroccan Capitalists) have not moved an inch on economic issues- which is why such things are happening now. Morocco has a worker's movement and has not learned the lessons of the 20th century, they are currently reaping what they sowed- time will tell if they concede anything or refuse and get swept into the dustbin of history. Also Morocco did have a somewhat successful revolution in 2011, the people went to the streets demanding the overthrow of the monarchy and the monarchs thus allowed for multi-party democracy in the 2011 reforms- which basically told the people that protests and strikes work which contributed to this current situation.
