No one claimed they were Oromo. Trust me, for the most part Oromos don’t claim Garri. A big percentage haven’t even heard of them until the recent fighting.

It's just that Somalis are (unfortunately) xenophobic to the extent that they're ready to write off people like the Garre clan just bc they don't speak standard somali, as their first 'language' the correct word is dialect. It doesn't help that an oromo is saying he understood every word when we can't.

Regardless, they've always been Somali and always will be.
