Xamar is in a unique position it’s the nearest urban centre to basically the largest agricultural region in somaliweyn lower shabelle due to reoccurring drought and insecurity a huge portion of that provinces population have urbanized in xamar also reer galmudug and hirshabelle urbanizing in xamar all those factors are contributing to the high population growth in the city

I don't know what half the people are on but you don't see poor areas that are mostly jiingad until you go out of the main districts and to the outskirts of the city where land is cheaper. The government needs to do work on roads and basic infrastructure though and some greenery would be nice too.
