Mogadishu resident explains the current situation in Somalia.

Watch his section the timestamps are 1:25-3.28

This man shares the exact same thoughts as I do, especially when it comes to the mucaarad part. The current mucaarad helped bring HSM to power. Now four years later, they’ve all flown into xamar to start the usual igu sawir campaign, full of complaints and promises about making a “change” in Somalia. They’ll elect someone new, and this same mucaarad will do the exact same thing four years later. Rinse and repeat.

When will we get rid of this current stalemate where the president is only the president of Mogadishu, while the rest of the country co-exists with sh*baab? And every four years, we have the same people lined up again?

This system is inherently unreformable and is sustained by external factors - West, UN, IC who forced it on us.

Only time and major internal pressures can heal this nation. Until then, we just have to watch and wait.

The is-hor-fadhi will continue for the time being.

He’s mainly talking about Xamar. Not Somalia.

I agree with the first part of your point, but hasn’t HSM been working to break the stalemate for a hot min now? From debt relief to lifting the arms embargo (which PL opposed and tried to sabotage) to fairer distribution of aid and grants (which angered the mafias in Hargysa and garowe), to recognizing SSC (again, angering the northern mafia), to kickstarting national ID ( majority of FMSs were against it), to constitutional reform(same thing) to moving from the racist 4.5 clan system to a 3-party system, the oil deal, and etc.

And Most of these moves don’t benefit him personally. in fact, it created unnecessary enemies for him. He still pushed ahead anyway.
The FGS has a long way to go, but I believe it’s on the right track. Especially now that the PM is openly discussing the “foreign imposed federalism system.”
Which is not even federalism, but a Zenawi’s cooked up plan to completely erase the idea of a Somali state. Not Somalia, but the concept of a Somali state itself.

It’s good they’re finally acknowledging it publicly, but the next step is to institutionalize it but you actually have to build real institutions first before you can do that.
Which will obviously take some time.

Most Somali politicians aren’t even functioning properly due to carrying excess visceral fat. Then you have the general population starting to resemble Indians due to poor diet.

HSM has done more to tear Somalia apart than I think any other president. He has an arrest warrant out for a state leader, think about that. When he starts his 2026 dictatorship regime through a dubious election, get ready for a different Somalia. All he has is Turkey. I foresee international partners going entirely past the FGS in the future if he remains.

Debt relief is due to Kheyre. Even our enemy Kenya acknowledges that. Debt relief is too difficult of a task for HSM/Hamza to achieve lol That shit requires hard work, discipline and dedication.

So many people laughed at my comments. All you have to is take a look at most Somali politicians who have enormous pot bellies and the rest of the population of males is starting to morph into skinny fat black starving Indians. Meanwhile, women are starting to look like bleached up orangutans with white faces and black legs. Let me stop. Good diet and medicinal control is the cornerstone of a modern nation. Xamar and Borama people look healthier though.

2026 teendada afasioni. Wala i joojina. HSM will never rule Somalia. We will thrash and sabotage at every turn.

good day.

A dictator?I wish lol

HSM was the one who initiated the debt relief process during his first term. That’s not to say the Kheyre admin didn’t put in a lot of hard work, but it was HSM who both started and completed the process

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

This country can be repaired ONLY if the capital is moved to PL or SL regions. Unstable capital filled with warlords and unruly clans can drastically damage the country's system of governance.

Part of the reason why presidents are called “mayor of Mogadishu” is because of sh*bab controlling a lot of the lands in the south. In my opinion, he should’ve continued the momentum with the sh*bab war. There was a lot of progress, and even liberating one full state would’ve been great and shown his competency.

This would never work. For all the criticisms people have of the fgs. Mogadishu is the only place which could be the capital of somalis. It's been a meeting point of somalis from all sorts of qabils and foreigners a truly cosmopolitan place. Its also the only true anicent somali city remaining.

Hargeisa is dominated by isaaqs and garowe by majeeerten. Hargeisa is a bit better since harti and other northern clans participate. But neither are even remotely qualified to be the capitals of somaliweyene.

It’s beyond diversity at this point. It should be based on security. Having a capital city where sh*baab can easily travel to and has established networks within is a big concern. They should move it, at least temporarily.

"Meeting point of Qabils.." that's just a profoundly disingenuous statement. Mogadishu ceased to be a home to all Somali tribes in 1991. It has blood on its hands and for the sake of this country's future we have to abandon it to get away from the numerous transgressions and injustices committed inside it. Remaining in a place where injustice prevails is absolutely not a good idea.

Good point, aside from Unukaa leh, it's the melting pot of Somalis.
