How are the quality of the buildings? Are there any regulations and rules? If they don't build good quality buildings it could at some point collapse and kill many people, another issue could be electrical safety which could potentially create fire in the buildings.

Somali villas have a cultural significance to them, I don’t want them to be replaced by generic apartments

Unfortunately they're too expensive and only single family can live in those villad that's why they're getting abondoned for apartments.

Villas are good. Apartments are terrible for raising families. Somalia is large enough for each man to have his own house. We should strive to be like Vietnam instead of Russia in this aspect

Turkish engineers constructed these high-quality, contemporary apartments with all the necessary safety features. I rented one of them when I visited Xamar in 2021, and it was satisfactory. Not much different from the ones in the West; they have fire extinguishers and emergency elevators, in case of a fire erupts and it has smoke alarms.

Villas are good. Apartments are terrible for raising families. Somalia is large enough for each man to have his own house. We should strive to be like Vietnam instead of Russia in this aspect
