I agree wholeheartedly with you on this point. Arabic will open us up to the broader world especially the sciences. Many scientific words used are Arabic. Swahili is a down grade and a burden.

Why focus on learning new languages when we can help modernize and improve the Somali language? We don’t even have a national script. Our Language is written in Latin. We need to prioritize improving the Somali language and it’s vocabulary.

You should exercise some skepticism. It’s better to be weary of a potential threat than dismiss it completely.
