Because he is seen as the "pride of Arabs" and Egypt is a Muslim country. He is immitating kuffar, so it's not far fetched for them to react negatively. It's not like he is foreign born, he's a local Egyptian Muslim just like his fans. He's also a big influence to the young and his face is all over Egypt.
