the onus is primarily on the right wingers. ilhan hasnt done all that much in the last few years except being unapologetically herself. all I can think of is she needs to not have open rallies speaking somali anymore. it gets weaponized to an extreme. she must deal with somalis behind closed doors. everything else is really a nonfactor. imo she should even tone up the anti israel rhetoric back to how she was initially because its getting more popular now
I disagree the left has been as violent and extreme back. I am not referring to Ilhan specifically although her foreign views are odd. She supports Ukraine because it is fighting on the side of America and will argue they short be armed and supported but won't support Israel which are both extensions of America. If she was anti-war she would be firmly against the funding and support of both. It seems like Jews will pick on her and it's been unfair yet won't dare attack Candace Owens who goes after Israel all the time for for being Jewish first. A nation within a nation but because Owens is from a protected group (Black Americans) they don't go after her the same.
Ilhan is not from a protected group. So if they decide to turn on Somalis, it will be ugly so she needs to think about the backlash. That man was gunning for her too, she was on the list.
The tribalism is on both sides, remember Trump was shot in the head too. This poor woman was killed. This is dangerous and both sides have extremism on both sides (Antifa, MAGA). The left suffers from self-hatred. Like they said America is too racist to vote for Kamala when 75 million people voted for Kama and Trump got 77 million. Is that sexism? Trump barely beat Hilary, he won the popular vote through the electoral colleges. So give credit and stop using identity politics to beat people down. It's tribalism. Be honest.
They think too black or white. Its cultish and both sides won't admit when the other side is wrong, it's polarization, arrogance and too ideological. Ideology without security is not healthy. For example open borders to the point of irrational behaviour. IMO I think marxism is evil and groupthink which is very dangerous. Islamically it doesn't even make sense. Wealth is a blessing from God and the more you have the more you should give back but hatred of the rich is unjust.
I disagree with the Israel rhetoric, she should push deescalating since the situation in the M.E is too violent and tearing the world apart. She should do the opposite and lead in focusing on creating peace. Too much pain and suffering. Same with Ukraine, and all the other conflicts.
Palestine is winning the PR war, but all it will take is one terrorist attack to flip America against Muslims and it will be game over. She should quit while she is ahead because fear can control people. If America gets a 9/11 type of attack, all that sympathy will go away and all those protestors will be turned on. I seen it with my own eyes, a lot of the boomers who were anti-war turned conservative as soon as they settled down and had kids. You think this the first time Americans protested for anti-war. War is not a choice in poor countries.
