Xamar is not the most dangerous city by any measure, and not even close to Tijuan, or Natal. I would be so bold as to say, some neighbourhoods in NY, and Chicago are more dangerous than Xamar. Even JoBurg is more dangerous than Xamar.

Postscript:
I had taken late night walks in Xamar in February, but would not dream of doing so in North or South Chicago post 6:00 pm.
