He made some powerful arguments about the civil war and looting of Somali govt and private assets and lives lost and how it may be counter productive to somali unity to have it as a capital.

He did say to HSM go and address your local grievances and Somali grievances, now that was stupid statement. Everything infrastructure built in Mogadishu yesterday, today, tommorow is carrying your Somali name not hawiye name, they act like it's some hawiye hanti lol, secondly I would point out to the Hamar folks if Somalis weren't there in Hamar g ovt. , U wud quickly revert to hirshabelle and galmudug situation lol.

So they gained way too many benefits not losses as the capital. Finally I will say what law was passed or referendum that Mogadishu is Somali people capital, it was forced on us by colonials, let's hold a true Somali capital competition and see what the Somali people will is not serve colonial interests from 100 years ago.

The issue with tribal federalism is that you cannot have it both ways. Every inch of land in Somalia is claimed by one tribe or another. Therefore, moving the capital will not solve the issue of “unukah leh.” The only thing that will change is the lahjad of the people saying it. You also will not find a city in Somaliweyn more diverse than Xamar. Pretty much every flavor of Hawiye and RX live in and around the city. Reer Xamar have their own coastal districts. Many Isaaq and Daarod people live in Xamar for work and are not bothered by anyone.

If your grievances are about peoples’ land rights not being respected than you, me, and the majority of people are on the same page saaxib. Only an insane qabiilist would defend haram. The courts are getting better about awarding land to the owners of original documentation from the Siad Barre era and iA the wrongs will be righted. However, you’re going to have to accept that the capital will never be moved from Mogadishu. Pragmatically speaking, far too much money has been spent there and the country is too poor to develop the requisite infrastructure elsewhere. I would not be opposed to a develoved capital system where some other cities get federal gov institutions (e.g., a Supreme Court in Garowe or Bosaaso). If anything, if reer PL want to weaken the FGS relative to the FMS should support increasing Xamar’s independence.

It's not just the unukah leh values which as U know is inconsistent and not serving Somali unity but hurting it more, forget those values but the brunt of the civil war was in Mogadishu between hawiye mostly, they need reconciling and noone in the damn nation has the balls to say it. No other area in Somalia is living in looted Somali property except Hamar, it's only this city, at least we agree there.

As for moving the capital I'm not saying let's move it but hold a Somali capital competition, reward areas who can separate their clan interest and national responsibility and I'm certain any area in PL can do that and even parts of Somaliland like Erigavo who already have a strong national case they can hold multi clans in peace due to wise elders and we need that type of guarantees socially.

As capital U will lose 100 sq metres of your clan territory maximum which will be dedicated as federal territory, which is nothing in return for far greater benefits of hosting the federal govt. Politics is about trade offs, noone gets everything they want. That's why I know puntites wud jump at the proposition. I agree tho if the federal territory starts to sprawl or expand eating to much clan land for federation responsibility then we demand they build up into the sky and use less land mass.

Same thing will happen in Garowe where sub clans will finally say we not losing more lands and the govt will need to force people to built high using limited land plots.

All the clan territory U lose as capital can be check mated in your favour, you tell Somali federal govt this is how much land we allow you to use as federal territory and don't dare expand or sprawl from that point, it's up to you how well U use that land plots and build high into the sky to address limited land. Garowe will eventually start to do this also. I know what U mean a clan losing all his territories isn't a wise trade off but U can find ways to limit the land loss by your local elders telling the govt what land is federal and what land isnt.

I disagree with that our gdp is concentrated in livestock, fishery, frankincense, agriculture not cities if U took those elements away from Somalia U wud be left with 100 business ppl with a few million each lol.

Ive noticed these non darod clans are like socially inferior and their not much different when it comes to giving them power, you can't trust them to look after Somali dignity and interest. You got hawiye who for 30 years can't organise themselves p so all they resort to is let's stop other clans like PL from succeeding, ka waran siyasad xumadasi lol and U wonder why I think their socially inferior.

Same with isaaqs orodo tag noone is begging U in Somalia but U will not take harti land, they don't want secession either it's all bluffs or else they wouldn't include harti areas in their project they only did knowing it would lead to conflict with their ruling class.
