Millions in IDP camps

It’s pretty insane that there are millions of somalis living in IDP camps, most of them are from South West. I looked into some of the studies done on them and they have almost no formal education, most are traumatized either from war or their experiences in the camp (their assault rates are horrendous), almost all the dodgy DV, SA etc statistics from Somalia are based on numbers from these camps SubhanAllah. Their men are being exploited for labour and they are responsible for the construction boom in Mogadishu, PL etc.

A lot of these numbers are inflated by NGOs some of these people are part time idps it’s a money scheme

That I do know, the numbers are obvs exaggerated for funding purposes but the number is still high

Seems like politicians don’t mind the status quo, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them discuss their fate

They’re usually located on the outskirts of big cities, sometimes in the middle of nowhere
