Did you see in the video how the guy at the end spoke perfect Af Soomaali at Berbera ? If we could recognize them from afar it wouldnt be that big of a deal but unless you ask him for abtirsi (which they can easily learn) you cant know if some of the ones who were here for nearly a decade are somali or oromo, some do look more omotic than Somali but most could pass as Somali.
This is a problem that needs to be addressed ASAP before the second generation fully blends in and this is why many are saying Oromos are the scariest and most imminent threat to Reer SL, many of them have bad intentions too, I'll see if I can find the video but an oromo in garowe went live saying he is moving his whole family there to make it a oromo city
Honestly HSM did a good move on the ID things but SL needs it urgently more than anyone else

Oromo are good people, in Nairobi and Eastliegh many different types of Oromo like Borena are intermingled with Somalis. You can’t even tell the odeeys from Somali odeeys from Bari. They look just like us, and have a very regal calm deposition

The local Somali governments aren't really poor for they collect taxes. It is just that from Hargeisa to Kismayo, the revenue generated from the ports and main markets go to the local so called president and his tribal cohorts. Corruption and stealing public money is religion in Somalia.
They only collect taxes from ports and customs, no one pays taxes and no somali government since inedependence has managed to collect taxes, literally remove ports and somali governments like SL and FGS loose a great share if not most of their revenue
This is literally the reason why Somalis cannot progress, lowest tax to GDP ratio in the world, impossible for state building, they have an opportunity to tax mobile money which 80% of somalis now use but they need to show actual progress in public services or the back-clash will be catastrophic
FGS is the worst cause 60% of their budget was foreign grants at some point, literally a foreign sponsored government
I agree with you. But also the revenue collected from all ports of Somalia can build highways and local streets if not stolen in my view. The sum they collect is huge.
