Deni is trying to change the constitution, the opposition are against this and accuse of trying to get an extension and also change the election process so Ciise Maxmuud won’t get the seat on January 8 like was agreed back in the day (rotate between maxmuud Saleebaan). Deni doesn’t deny he’ll extend and says ‘we have to have 1m1v election for President’

Kinda. But also that 1m1v election will take an extension. There’s not enough time to hold by January.

Also there’s little trust in how fair the election will be. Deni sacked the previous chair of the elections because he wasn’t doing what he wanted.
