I myself am against extensions. I think the best compromise of 1m1v and elections on time is to hold 1m1v on January 8th. It’s very much doable. The funds can be easily arranged. The know how is already in place and the logistics are available. If Aaranjaan doesn’t oblige, we will choose their MPs like Isaaqs MPs are selected.

Deni needs help. No offence to the guy but he isn’t very popular in his own right especially after backstabbing Farmaajo who has a lot of support in PL. I support this. HSM can only benefit from an overconfident Deni who tries to force 1m1v elections beyond jan8. It’ll keep PL away from FGS politics while HSM can get through everything he wants. While Deni fights his opposition on extending and changing the constitution and presidential elections and at the same time also dealing with the IC forcing him to go to Xamar for negotiations with HSM he’ll likely be a lot easier to deal with than any future PL president.

the time when AJ was the only real opposition is over. Everyone is going to come out against the new plans. He’s looking to change the 66 seat election and that is effectively saying I need an extension given there’s no election for councils in Garowe etc. Cumar Cabdirashiid explained it well

There’s no political shenanigans in Galmudug to this level. QQ faces no opposition to his extension which changed the Galmudug constitution and also 1m1v plans to elected Galmudug presidency. In fact he just passed it yesterday and no one kicked up a fuss. Pilot elections begin later this year in 6 of the biggest councils including the capital.

You can’t compare Galmudug to PL right now in terms of political stability. Let me know when Mahad Salad who could lead Cayr into revolting against QQ, or Rooble/Fiqi with Sacad against QQ then I’d accept the comparison.
