I put Books to the Test of Life
Contemporary science has confirmed that individuals with higher melanin levels, or those with a darker complexion, are less prone to skin cancer due to the natural shade or protective barrier provided by melanin against the sun's effects. It's interesting to note that when you observe sunscreen under UV light, it essentially resembles someone donning a blackface.

Surah Al-Kahf delves into the narrative of Dhul-qarnayn and the emergence of Yajuj and Majuj, also recognized as Gog and Magog. These two tribes are described as being confined behind a barrier. It's noteworthy that Yajuj and Majuj trace their lineage back to Japheth, one of the sons of Nuh (Noah). The common ancestry of all modern humans can be traced back to the three sons of Nuh. Among them, only Japheth's descendants exhibit whiteness, and it is from them that the trait of redness originated. Before Japheth, the mutation leading to whiteness did not exist from the time of Adam through Nuh, including his two other sons, Shem and Ham, who both displayed varying levels of blackness.

Tabaqaat Ibn Saa’d Chapter 1 page 27 Seera Al Nabaweyah

"And Allah, glory be to him, made in them ( SHEM ) Prophets and books and BEAUTY, and UDMAH ( dark brown to jet black) and bayaadh( light brown skinned) complexions and the Children of HAAM descended in the southern surroundings and Dabour and it is said for that is the end of Daroom, and ALLAH made them UDMAH ( dark brown to jet black) and a few of them bayaadh( light brown skinned) in complexion…..

”And Japeth Al Safwaan descended in the central areas and in the North and they were very white skinned and very white skinned with some redness (rosy cheeked)”
ونزل بنو يافث الصفوان مجرى الصبا والشمال”، فكان فيهم الحمرة والشقرة

OKAY NOW HERE IS THE MENTION OF MELANIN IN THE QURAN....

SURAH AL-KAHF AYAT 90

"Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun."

In the comprehensive context of the Surah, it becomes apparent that Dhul Qarnayn, during his expeditions, constructed a barrier between two mountains to segregate and contain the two tribes from Japheth due to their corruption on Earth and barbaric tendencies. Allah highlights their lack of a shield or melanin against the sun, indicating their whiteness and redness. This serves as a demonstration that Allah did not bestow melanin upon Japheth and his descendants, providing further evidence of this distinction.
