It's time Somalis are equipped with knowlege about how to spot warning signs or symptoms of someone suffering a mental illness which usually is undiagnozed. It's a good general rule to follow the 2 week 'threshold' and if someone is showing excessive or extreme states of worry, sadness, anger, happiness, ego, this is an usually un-diagnozed mental illness causing these excessive traits.
If they show extreme behaviors also like always eating, movies, exercise, drinking, drugs, alcohol, video games, shopping, religious, work, study, and their no balance to their behavior, they are suffering an undiagnozed mental illness silently and trying to mask it with those extreme behavior.
So please watch each other carefully for warning signs and symptoms and once you 'spot' their is a problem, do not 'fight or argue' with them becuz their suffering in silence or ignorance and provide them with the necessary treatment needed and if their 'resistant' or in 'denial' that is the biggest identifier. The human mind isn't built to be in 1 emotional state(happy, sad, angry, show off, worry, stress, flat/dull) nor is it built to be in 1 extreme behavior(doing the same thing over and over for long durations).
If u witness anyone even a religious person who is exhibiting these obsessive behaviors, tell them to seek help and not to MASK it with religion. If u witness anyone occupied in the same activity longer then 2 weeks with no balance, they also need help. A-lot of Somalis unfortunately are masking their pain with 'deen' and the problem is your brain chemistry.
