Since when did I say men don’t know how to cook? I was referring to how men depend entirely on their wives to cook for them. Of course if your wife isn’t working she’ll cook for you.
The idea itself of a man cooking pisses a lot of men of;it's not seen as masculine. That’s what I’m talking about, the idea that cooking is just a woman’s work.

Sis at the mosque where I go there are kitchens to prepare food and many men are the ones who cook and distribute the food to the poor. Some of them got married and still cook with their wives. The food they make ( especially iranians) is sooo good. Al hamdoulillah the somali men I met are mature. I think some on this forum are exaggerating things just to make others laugh lol.

In my opinion cooking shouldn't be a dealbreaker if shes got a good personality takes care of herself and is knowledgeable about the deen is more important

Theres youtube and cookbooks as a couple you can cook together and learn new stuff
