I don't think they thought that one out, the mayor came to show solidarity. He can not defund the whole police department of the city without consequence. We need a long term solution and we all have to be reasonable at the same time. I urge the peaceful protestors to exercise patience

He was invited because he is Mayor. He should be told to F off because he did not give an inadequate answer.

Mayors are public servants who Are paid via taxpayer money and can be told whatever by the public. It is his city as much it is theirs.
