The mocking of Xamar and general disrespect is not something new it started in mid 2000s and then intensified. Some of the famous sayings from Sland region politicians are "A child born in Addis Ababa is closer to me than a child born in Mogadishu" . This was during the Meles Zenawi era when Somali politics were lit.

Somali politics became boring when Zenawi died. Seeing Abdullahi Yusuf, Cadde Muuse, Riyaale etc make monthly pilgrimages to Addis Ababa was a running meme for years

Thankfully the yearly pilgrimage to Addis has been put to stop. It was embarrassing asf tbh and one of the lowest darkest days of Somalis .

Xamar has a better standard of living than Hargeisa though.

Perhaps he should focus more on the problems Hargeysa face rather than mocking the instability caused by Arab extremism in Xamar.
