Very rarely do you see other communities do this. If a Bangladeshi or Pakistani girl does something haram, Asians wont bring up her ethnicity and why should they? If her haram lifestyle is addressed, it should be addressed as her being a Muslim woman going against the Quran and Sunnah.

I wish Somalis understood this but they can’t because as I’ve always pointed out I believe that cultural narcissism is a huge issue amongst us.

Cultural narcissism. They think the world ends and starts with Somalis. Everything a Somali does whether good or bad, they have to link it back to Somalis somehow.

If that Dawah man was Somali, not only the girls would bring up his Somali background so would the guys. Right now, with the hijabi girl with the cropped top, I saw so many Somali girls talking about how some Somali girls don’t understand hijab properly. This clearly isn’t gendered as they do it to other Somali girls despite also being women. It’s simply pure unadulterated narcissism that rejects any form of individuality. It’s exhausting!

I talked in third person because my post didn't apply to me or any other Somali that don't express that behavior. It's why I specified it was "some Somalis" instead of generalizing. Other posts I made criticizing the actions of similar demographics in this community I probably phrased it in a similar fashion.

Somali women in the west (at least London) dress very modestly, even at young ages. I’m not sure how we got the rep that we are half dressed, especially with Arabs. Half of them look like hairier and bigger nosed versions of white people yet no one attacks Arabs as a group?
