My thoughts:

Outside: this is an absolutely beautiful restoration of a historic masjid mashallah.

Inside: what the f*ck!? Why are there ottoman influences and iznic tiles? This is desecration!!!

Yes the Turks may have invested in the south but these southerners are only pawns to the Turkish long game.

They aren't there to help you but rather they are there for their own interests. Any bonuses for them such as cultural appropriation (case in point turkification of Arba Rucun masjid) is a curse in disguise for Somalia.

And these southerners name their kids names like "erdogan" and "Attaturk"

The outside looks good but this is desecration.

Somalia and somaliland should have a listed buildings programme like the UK's (etc. grade 1, 2) so that they can preserve and protect buildings of historic importance (both secular and religious buildings).

Sadly the corrupt govt officials won't do shit and the diaspora only cares about the shiny new buildings popping up and not of the history.

Combine good weather/sandy beaches with history and the future (and safer) Somalia will have a thriving tourism sector.
