It’s amazing to see Somalis transitioning to doing manual labour we need more of this
Nin shaqeesto ma tuugsato, one of my awoowes (dads uncle) was a plumber and he never asked my father a penny . A man of great work ethic, my father admires him a lot.

Somali men have traditionally done xamaali but not on a mass scale. Things will change as we urbanise and you can’t be a nomad no more.

I don't know why Somalis look down upon skilled trade work? This is why our economy can never prosper and move forward. Somalis would rather import foreigner workers to do jobs like construction instead of working themselves. I was shocked to see the number of Kenyan construction workers in Xamar when I visited in 2017. This nomadic mentality of looking down on skilled trade work needs to stop. Somalis need to be productive and work.

That concrete looks watery and sloppy asf, it'll have a significant impact on it's compressive strength once it cures. That building's going to look like a fucking spider's web from all the cracks. Couldn't they find a 1st yr engineering student to do a simple slump test? But mashallah I suppose:francis:
