With more political stability and openness now, better can be achieved as well. They need infrastructure projects and public institutions to be rebuilt and strengthened. Taxes need to be collected so public education and health, roads and other public works projects can be achieved. Individuals and groups of Somalis are wealthier now than that period of the video but because there are no clean and strong public institutions, their wealth is not secure. Those nations used meritocracy over clan politics. Their motivation was country and people not tribal units benefiting themselves through power they gained. Nation state concept was doomed from the get go as Somalis considered their tribes each to be a nation unto themselves. The culture of tribalism has to die among Somalis before they can can advance and build advanced society that values nation and country before their stupid useless tribes.
