I read The Secret years ago when it was everywhere. Waste of money and time. The most ridiculous nonsense I've ever read. Yet it sold tens of millions of copies and translated to almost every language - and there's even a film. I'm pretty sure @LoveandLight has read it (right?).
What podcast did you find it from. I'm running dry out of good podcasts at the momentI’ll read it first.
Judging from the pod, it kinda seems like a culmination of common sense things most people probably already know combined with research and affirmations that help many people gain motivation. The mind is a machine, and you have to do a bit self-programming to guide your life, but I’m interested in seeing what it actually has to say.
I found this author through a podcast. I’m constantly cycling through pods, and searching my app for new content since I commute quite a bit and use them for exercise. I was randomly adding a whole bunch of pods by searching key terms that describe what I was looking for.
I added “The Think Grow” pod that way and when I clicked on it, I noticed the latest pod interviewed someone named Idil Ahmed. I was like...that’s a Somali: http://thinkgrowprosper.com/blog/idil-ahmed
I already made a thread about her
How long do you commute? I commute 1.5hours go and 1.5hours back, spend 15 hours a week in the train![]()
Wow. I feel bad for u.
Abti, the streets gotta eat. Kudos to the beautiful Caucasian Somali sister.Sounds like it's yet another new age nonsense motivation book.
I can't stand these books, but I'm happy for the Somali author.
Please don't pity me. I work in the train, so those hours are seen as working hours.
One thing i hate about UK is the train traffic hours. So many human beings. I get fidgety if i see alot of humans. But on the bright side, UK humans like Ny city humans, tend to not ogle or stare at me. They r too busy. In small cities people ogle at my beauty until i am forced to wear burkhah which is very hot/humid and inconvenient
And what makes you think I am from the UK?
As for your burkah, I think you're doing your society a service by covering yourself
OMG the great Basra became senile![]()
