That 100 million is an opportunity cost, wherein you lose the advantage of having a billion better options as opposed to paying 100 million just to marry someone. Not smart at all, time is an investment and itβll take time to recoup that 100 million as itβs her money now.

No such thing when It comes to the mahr it's only irsrah when it comes to having an extravagant wedding itself to show off and please the people in this case the whole affair was lowkey and solely between the family and humble. Looks like the only thing that was large was the amount of mahr and that is all relative. It would be dumb if that was his whole networth that he was giving away but I doubt it. He could be a multi billionaire that would be chump change and easily regainable.

well my mother told me stories about somalis paying 100 camels for mahr and how that made them feel like they actually bought the wife and didn't have to treat her right. Doesn't see why that can't generalize to this situation given that 100 mil is a lot more than 100 camels. If that's not the case, then i am very happy for her.
