It’s their business besides the woman will always side with her partner over some sus white knight dude, simply because the white knight isn’t going to raise her kids or pay the bills. You aren’t helping her by taking matters into your own hands you’re just causing more problems for all parties including yourself

Most women in DV situations are mentally abused as well. Also, some of these men will threaten to murder their partner if they dare leave. A lot of women who've been killed by their partners were killed after they left. DV is complicated, but watching another beat someone is rather messed up, hence calling the police from the sidelines might be the best bet. Sometimes, if you intervene he might beat her even more later. Although, if you're in broad daylight, usually there will be others intervening and helping and the likelihood of you getting hurt is slim.

All in all, i'd say assess the situation and always take your safety into consideration. At times, passively helping, rather than outwardly helping the victim, is actually safer for her as well.

I try to to help anyone ever, I might call the police but other than that I'm gonna get stabbed raped sliced up into pieces kidnapped or whatever by trying to help, I don't see a reason to help people at the risk of my own life
