The child is unborn. The mother not only has a soul, but is a fully born adult that has family and people around her that will miss her existance more. You cannot compare someone that has been on earth to a child that has not even entered the world yet.

Would you say that if the mother had children already? Should they lose their mother for an unborn baby if the mother could be saved?
