Not surprised as i heard of similar story to this one years ago but fatal. A Chinese tourist in LA was lost in the bad in a bad neigbourhood and decided to knock randomly on someone door for directions and it cost him his life.

Me and my cousins once drove on a back road in the states and we accidentally ended up on private property and there was a sign on the tree saying trespassers will be shot. I almost cried. We did the quickest u-turn while I kept my head down.
