This was a good investment by them. The key thing lacking is our 'university' sector in PL. Let's be real, all the curriculum there is garbage, it's not endorsed by any institution world wide, I am suprised students waste their time studying at universities that the world doesn't recognize as legitimate. Even if you studied 'medicine' for example in these universities, they would never be given a job anywhere in the world, they just have an un-endorsed curriculum and lack world class professors.

Other then the lack of recognition for our universities and curriculum, I give Makhir University one credit, they at least have a 'facility' that is pretty modern and up to date. Now they just need to bring in curriculum, subjects, materials, and professors and begin 'accreditation' of the university regionally and globally. This will cause Makhir University to become like Harvard of Somalia, where all Somalis will pay 'top dollar' to study there as they see their 'shahahado' as a certificate to get a job in America, Europe, Asia. They can start charging high prices up to 20-50k per subject per student. It could be good economical driver for the region and change it's future outlook.

@PhySom investment in knowledge facilities is very 'good return investment' everyone wants to 'study' and get a 'job'. Academic institutions are those facilities u need before the market will accept your locals into an industry. Academic institutions are the driver and labor force for all skilled industries. Get rid of this useless dhoobodaareed, his pathetic jambal of makhir/ssc state is just silly and not going to fool Majerten or Warsangeli. He lost his seat to his 'ina adeer' not to a 'majerten' I am not sure why he is saying he is against Puntland, this will cause an inter-warsangeli war. Bad policy by him, maybe he is playing opposition in PL so 'farmaajo' can hire him somewhere because farmaajo is elementary student in politics, if he sees anyone who is anti puntland, he will give them a job lol.
