I've always wondered why the British in its Middle eastern and African colonial theatres and sphere of influence zones have always hated Somalis, we might remind them of the Irish or scots is what I suspect.
We did reject them as a trusteeship in 1950 and even chose langaab Italy who by then was reeling from the ww2 loss from the allied forces. Somalis were only like 1 million at the time of colonial arrival and why they needed British, France, Italy, Ethiopia for literally 1 million people who were severely divided and not even a common bloc yet for other colonial areas in Africa, Asia, Middle East U will find they only needed British, France, Italy.
To put it in perspective 300 million arabs they needed British, France, Italy only while for 1 billion Indians they needed only British. For East Asia they only sent the British and their billions
My theory to explain that is feudal societies tend to be easy to conquer where as tribal societies is a whole different stories. Even Israel used to be harder to conquer when they were tribally focused untill they lost or forgot tribalism, they been easy target for like 3000 years. I'm pro qabili for that reason, Don't eliminate qabili it's definitely a social safety net for when a state collapses and it's definitely a security safety blanket judging by history.
Even the Scots are now like girls when British stopped their clannism.
