If you mean akata that word has been bastardized by arrogant Nigerian Americans and annoying other West and Central Africans. It originally just meant an African in America. My Uncle has been in the USA for years and in Nigeria we refer to him as that akata. That word has been bastardized and hold negative connotations now though.
